A structured, 4–6 week engagement that gives your organization an honest picture of where it stands on AI — and a production-ready roadmap for where it needs to go.
Most AI programs fail not because the technology doesn't work, but because organizations underestimate what it takes to move from pilot to production. Our assessment closes that gap — evaluating your strategy, data, infrastructure, talent, governance, and use case landscape against the standard required for enterprise-grade AI deployment.
The AI Readiness Assessment is designed for financial services organizations and enterprises that are serious about AI — but want an honest, independent view of where they stand before committing to major platform investments or large-scale programs.
Our assessment framework evaluates AI readiness across the six dimensions that determine whether an organization can move from AI experimentation to enterprise production — and sustain it.
We evaluate whether your organization has a coherent AI strategy — one that is tied to business objectives, has executive sponsorship, and is resourced to execute. We identify gaps between stated ambition and actual investment.
AI is only as good as the data behind it. We assess your data architecture, quality, governance, and accessibility — identifying the data gaps that would constrain AI deployment and the remediation required.
We evaluate your existing technology stack for AI readiness — cloud infrastructure, compute capacity, integration architecture, and the platform capabilities needed to train, deploy, and monitor AI models at scale.
We assess your internal AI talent — data scientists, ML engineers, AI product managers — and the organizational structures needed to build, govern, and scale an AI program. We identify build vs. buy vs. partner decisions.
We evaluate your AI governance framework against regulatory expectations and industry best practices — covering model risk management, explainability, bias testing, audit trails, and the controls required for regulated AI deployment.
We map the AI use case landscape across your organization — identifying high-value opportunities, assessing feasibility against your current data and technology state, and prioritizing a portfolio of initiatives by value and readiness.
A structured four-phase process — from discovery through executive readout — designed to deliver a complete, actionable picture of your AI readiness in 4–6 weeks.
We conduct structured interviews with business, technology, data, risk, and compliance stakeholders across your organization. We review existing strategy documents, technology architecture, data inventories, and governance frameworks.
Outputs
We score your organization across all six AI readiness dimensions using our proprietary maturity framework — benchmarked against peer organizations in your industry. Each dimension is rated on a 1–5 scale with detailed findings.
Outputs
We identify and evaluate AI use cases across your business — scoring each against business value, data readiness, technical feasibility, and regulatory risk. We build a prioritized portfolio that sequences initiatives for maximum early value.
Outputs
We synthesize findings into a production-ready AI roadmap — covering the foundational investments required, the sequenced initiative portfolio, governance framework requirements, and the organizational changes needed to execute. We present findings to executive leadership.
Outputs
A comprehensive assessment of your organization's AI readiness across all six dimensions, with detailed findings, evidence, and industry benchmarking.
A scored and ranked inventory of AI use cases across your organization, with a recommended portfolio of 3–5 priority initiatives sequenced for maximum value.
A production-ready roadmap covering foundational investments, initiative sequencing, governance requirements, and organizational capability development — with investment estimates.
A governance and risk management framework aligned to regulatory expectations in your industry — covering model risk, explainability, bias testing, and audit requirements.
The standard engagement runs 4–6 weeks from kickoff to executive readout. For larger, more complex organizations, we may extend the discovery phase. We can also deliver an accelerated version in 3 weeks for organizations with time constraints.
We typically need access to 8–15 stakeholders across business, technology, data, risk, and compliance functions — approximately 60–90 minutes per stakeholder for structured interviews. We also review existing documentation: strategy documents, architecture diagrams, data inventories, and governance frameworks.
Vendor assessments are designed to sell you their platform. Our assessment is vendor-agnostic — we have no financial relationship with any AI platform vendor, and our recommendations are based entirely on what is right for your organization. We will tell you if you're not ready to invest in a major AI platform.
The assessment is a standalone deliverable — you own the roadmap and can execute it however you choose. Many clients engage us to lead the implementation of priority initiatives identified in the assessment, but there is no obligation to do so.
Our assessment methodology is designed for financial services organizations — wealth management firms, broker-dealers, banks, credit unions, asset managers, and FinTech companies. We have deep domain knowledge of the regulatory, data, and technology environments specific to these industries.
Schedule a complimentary 30-minute discovery call. We'll discuss your organization's AI objectives, current state, and whether the AI Readiness Assessment is the right starting point.
